One day, you will call me 'BOSS.'

For those fresh graduates who are now working, how do you assess yourself in terms of applying and using what you gained from your studies? Before anything else, I find this old write-up of mine for our "yearbook." Although it doesn't look like a write-up that you can put in a yearbook, this is what I want to be read by my fellow graduates when they turn on my page.

"The dilemma that high school graduates felt is not as terrifying as when you have one foot left at your college school. Corporate world is just intimidating and full of surprises. There will never be exams, only application of all your subjects combined.

The moment you set foot on the outside world means you have to surpass first a twisted labyrinth before you can raise your flag for triumph. It is, in many ways difficult yet in every dead-end, there is always something to pick-up – if not answers to life’s questions, lessons to help you find those answers.

Everyday, a new door opens for those who find the keys to unlock them. When situation gets worse, it is always good to look back to when we are starting to learn how to read and write, when red ballpens send us scary remarks and when we, at the end of it all, can still study for the next exams we will encounter. It is after all, a cycle wherein we can make the same mistake twice, or even thrice. But it can also mean that we can always learn, for it is never too late to correct what we can."

In time, it will be our generation's turn to rule the corporate world. At some point, we will cling to the years we are still studying, afraid to open doors and have doubts in ourselves. Soon enough, we will be seen on television, we will be asked for our expert opinions, our names will be published in newspapers for the progress we are making in business world, we will have our signature chase by our subordinates, have offices of our own with CEO, President or Director on our doors while those who enter have to call us Sir, Madam or even Boss. Others will be authors, reporters, doctors of different fields, politicians - WOMEN will lead. And that will be the time I achieved everything already.
